The whole kit was made with scatch built parts (although, some of the masters for the modifications are no available from Dons  Light & Magic).

It represents the second pilot version of the Enterprise and I've used no weathering on the ship at all. I have drawn a really faint grid line on the saucer top which probably  wasnt there till the ship was modified for the "Series" version.

Some of the other modificationss to the 22" ERTL kit were:

• Lengthened secondary hull
• Reshaped interconecting dorsal (primary to secondary hull connecting dorsal)
• Scratch built impulse engine, deflector dish, Observation dome,  Planetary sensor dome, and the bridge and B/C deck.
• Paint color is light ghost grey
• Decals are a mixture of just about every decal set on the market (past and present).
