Here comes the Jupiter 2. This kit has had a lot of hours put into it. I started with the Lunar Models 16.5 kit, and from there I began working on the lower section of the hull, added switches for the lighted core and interior lights. The switches were placed inside of the landing bay wells. I didn't spend a lot on the lights; I rewired a lighted rotating tag light.
Next I began working on a Lunar Model's interior kit and I lighted the whole upper deck. This kit seemed to take a while to build. A lot of time went into the upper deck on detailing. Once I was satisfied with the upper deck I then starting working on the Lunar Models Robinson kit. This kit is the one that their in thier spacesuits also came with Dr. Smith and the Robot. Once all kits where finshed the task of putting them all together was next. Everything didnt what to line up at first, but I have a lot of patience for putting this Jupiter 2 together -- too much money and time invested not to have. The only problem I now have is that if something inside goes wrong I will have to carefully take it apart because I sealed the seam around the ship.
The Jupiter 2 here has won two awards here in Kansas. One first place and one second place.
