Bert Brasher's Polar Lights Jupiter 2 part 3 Minimize
EXTERIOR-

I painted the hulls with Testors metalic silver. It's a good paint but shows finger prints and stains easily, so in the beginning I painted, stripped, and painted a few times. Here you can see having the porthole and lower viewport cut out really improve the look of the ship. The Dewey Howard fusion core light circuit and top bubble light circuit really bring the Jupiter 2 to life. The top bubble's profile is a little too tall so I sanded down the bubble on a piece of sandpaper until the height and profile were correct. The Jim James' decals included a decal for the hatch open/close control buttons. The fusion core piece is cast as one piece in clear, so a lot of small detailed masking is required to mask off each clear pane 32 of them on the side and 32 on the bottom. After it was painted and cured, I dipped the fusion core piece in future.

This is a model i am very proud of and very, very greatful for ALL of the help, advise, and tips i got from my fellow modelers on Hobby talk, THANK YOU ONE AND ALL !!!!
