Here is a build up of a Polar Lights Batplane...out of the box for a customer. He didn't want the flat after-market wings or landing gear down. He just wanted it in the In-flight mode. Regardless I just had to do some accenting for added dimension to this kit. Hence the airbrush and additional decals for it. The landing gear was worked on though it was not put on the kit. It was done just to see how cool it would be to have these on if he so wished.
The model was spray painted, from the can, over all, Testors Gloss Black, Titanium for the exhaust and Silver for the nose spear. Tamiya Metallic Grey was airbrushed for the door panels of the landing gear. The interior was just painted by brush the correct Tamiya colors for the figures and then before the canopy was applied, the underside of the clear piece was airbrushed Tamiya dark tint. Hides my figure painting sins. I used Pactra Silver Trim Tape for the canopy frame.
This is a very nice kit but begs for additional detail. When, when, when I do mine, it will be painted just like the cool boxart. If you don't have one yet, please get one before they are all gone the way of the dinosaur.
